Arctic Sauna Northern Light Experience

This 6-hour experience combines traditional Arctic wellness with the magic of the Northern Lights. Your evening begins with a pick-up in Kirkenes and a short 20-minute drive towards the Pasvik Valley. From there, you’ll reach the Namdalen Wilderness Lodge sauna either by snowmobile & sled or on snowshoes, depending on your preference.

While the wood-heated sauna warms to 80°C, guests gather around the fire to grill reindeer sausages and enjoy Arctic stories and myths about the Aurora. Once the sauna is ready, step inside for a round of heat, then cool off in the snow — or try an optional ice bath in the frozen lake. The location is far from any light pollution, offering some of the best Northern Lights viewing in the region.

This experience blends warmth, flavor, and Arctic silence into one unforgettable evening. Guests can choose between an easy sauna-and-sled evening or add more adventure with a snowshoe hike in and out.
