Ä’vv conveys the little known history of the Skolt Sámi, the area’s indigenous people. The Skolt Sámi land is divided between three countries; Norway, Finland and Russia, and the Skolt Sámi number less than 2000. They have a distinct culture and language. In our exhibition Saa’mijânnam Skolt Sámi Land, visitors can experience  Skolt Sámi history from the ice age and until today. This summer, we also have a temporary art exhibition with pictures by John Savio, as well an audio exhibition called Koll’ješkuätt Start to listen.
